Zero Emission Day - Participate in the virtual Walkathon 2022

What is Zero Emission Day?

  • 21st September is observed as ‘Zero Emission Day’.
  • The purpose of this day is to give Earth a break from the use of fossil fuels and reduce the emission of polluting gases at least for one day.

What is Walkathon 2022?

Native Green Foundation is organising a virtual Walkathon from 1st September 2022 to 14th September 2022 where people will be able to participate in a mass walking event from anywhere in the World.

The objectives behind Walkathon?

  • To encourage people to walk instead of using a motor vehicle.
  • To promote a healthy lifestyle and to reduce emission of polluting gases. 

How can you participate?

  1. Anyone from anywhere around the World can participate in the event.
  2. Track your daily walking distance using the ‘Google Fit’ mobile app (not sponsored).
  3. Duration of tracking: 2 weeks (from 1st September 2022 to 14th September 2022).
  4. To participate in the event visit www.nativegreenfoundation.org/events.html and click on ‘Register’.
  5. Fill up the details and upload a screenshot of the tracking history of the app along with a photo of you holding the phone near your face showing tracking history of the app.
  6. The duration and distance must be visible in the screenshot and the photo.
  7. Maximum 5 photos can be uploaded on the website (2 screenshots and 3 photos of face with phone)
  8. Share the same photos on your Instagram and Facebook and tag and mention us @nativegreenfoundation.
  9. Use the hashtag #nativegreenfoundation (make sure your profile is public before sharing the photos)
  10. Submit your walking data and photos before 16th September 2022.

What is in it for you?

  • Every participant will be awarded with ‘E-Certificate of Participation’ for their incredible contribution for the planet.
  • Top 5 participants will be featured on our social media platforms and will get a chance to share their words via video.
  • Winners will be announced on 21st September 2022 on our Social Media Platforms (Facebook & Instagram).
